Having just finished her studies to become a civil engineer focusing on architecture, Shpresa started working at BIMobject HQ in the beginning of 2017. We sat down for a chat with her, to see how things are going.
Managing the information
“To understand my role, you need to understand a little bit about the construction industry. For a long time, it’s been a challenge for the industry to gather information and keep it updated. Information has been scattered in different places like proposals, project plans, sketches and drawings. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a new process that is all about gathering the important information in one place. We provide a platform where suppliers can publish their products and make them available for architects, designer and engineers”
A day in the life of a project manager
“In my role as project manager I make sure that the product pages contain all the information and that everything runs smoothly. Different users require different types of information. Being the project leader I act a a middle hand, making sure that we provide the relevant information for everyone - whether you are an architect, an engineer or construction company.”
Room to grow and be creative
“Working at BIMobject, one of the things that I enjoy is the opportunity to be a part of shaping the future of construction. Everything that we do here, whether it’s 3D printing, VR and AR or other technologies, is urgently needed and I want to contribute to moving the industry of construction in a more sustainable direction. At BIMobject, there is always room to grow and to be creative, and all new ideas are valued and listened to. I want to be able to constantly grow and evolve, and at BIMobject, I can do that.”
